Weekly: Test And Balance The Water
Test chlorine and pH levels at least twice a week in summer, since heat burns through sanitizer far faster than most owners expect. Brush the walls and tile line to stop algae and calcium scale from taking hold, vacuum the pool floor, and check the water level — evaporation in Dubai's summer can drop a pool noticeably in a week, and a low water level strains the pump.
Monthly: Equipment And Deep Clean
Once a month, clean or backwash the filter properly, inspect pumps, heaters, and any automation for wear, and check tile grout and pool surrounds for cracking from thermal expansion. This is also the point to test for calcium hardness and total dissolved solids, since Dubai's water supply tends to push both up over time if left unchecked.
Peak Summer: Tighten Everything Up
From May to September, shift chemical testing to every other day, run the pump longer to keep circulation ahead of heat-driven algae growth, and top up water levels more frequently. If you notice chlorine disappearing within hours of dosing, that's a sign the pool needs a stabilizer check rather than simply more chlorine — dumping in extra sanitizer without addressing stabilizer levels rarely fixes the real problem.
