How We Built This Estimate
The number this tool produces is built from the same base rates our design team uses when they draft a first-pass proposal, before a site visit adjusts anything. We start from a typical per-square-metre cost for the service you pick, scale it by the plot size band you select, and add the fixed cost of any extras like lighting or a pergola on top. It is intentionally a simpler version of our real estimating process — enough to give you a realistic ballpark in under a minute, without pretending to know things about your specific plot that only a site visit can tell us, like soil condition or existing irrigation.
Why Two Similar Gardens Can Get Different Numbers
Two villas of the same size in the same community can land in very different places once we actually visit, and this calculator can't fully account for that. A garden with reasonable soil and working irrigation infrastructure costs less to renovate than one that needs full regrading and a new irrigation network before a single plant goes in. Site access matters too — a plot a truck can reach easily costs less to work on than one where every bag of soil has to be carried in by hand. Treat the range this tool gives you as a starting point for the conversation, not a final number, and expect the site visit to move it slightly in one direction or the other.
